To be economic, plates are sent in batches for pattern making and casting. Names are computer typeset to exactly match plate requirements. Timber patterns are then computer cut in the North of England. The Cast iron plates are made in the famous Brixham Northfield Foundry. They are then engineered to fit and laid on site. Each plate weighs approx 75kg.

Brixham's Walk is designed as a permanent artwork installation and
approved by Torbay Harbour and Torbay Council.
